USS Venture

"Captain", the Venture's Chief Operations Officer said. "There is an incoming ship, a small freighter. They are hailing us."

"On screen", the Trill Captain replied.

A middle-aged human male appeared on the screen, "I'm Captain Josh Venn of the freighter Long-Haul. We heard the distress call. We stop here often and want to help. It's like a second home."

"I am Captain Oshar of the starship Venture", the Trill said. "We are the lead Starfleet ship in a very small group tasked with assisting. We have certain protocols we follow that you would need to abide by."

"That's fine Captain", Venn replied. "We understand. Don't want any ships crashing to each other. We have a decent amount of room that can be used to transport cargo or people. Transporters will be tricky to use given the dust in the atmosphere."

"Indeed", Oshar said. "Four other ships will be arriving soon. We are having a conference communication for planning shortly. I will include you in it so we can coordinate efforts."

"We look forward to it Captain", Venn answered. "Longhaul out."

The screen went blank.

"What do you have planned Josh?", Venn's second in command asked.

"The Federation has good stuff", Venn replied with a devious smile. "I am sure in all the hustle and bustle they won't notice a few things making it into our special hold."
